The short version
TideIQ uses only the cookies needed to sign you in and keep the site working. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or session-replay tools, and our analytics are cookieless. Because none of our cookies require consent under privacy law, we don't show a cookie banner.
Cookies we set
All of the cookies below are strictly necessary — the site can't sign you in or protect its forms without them — so they are set without asking for consent.

Analytics — no cookies
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views and measure load performance. Neither sets a cookie or stores anything in your browser; visitors are identified only by a hash that changes every day and is never shared across sites. That is why we can measure traffic without a consent banner.
What we don't use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies (no Google Ads, Meta, or LinkedIn pixels).
- No third-party analytics that set cookies (no Google Analytics).
- No session-replay or heat-mapping tools.
- No fonts or scripts loaded from advertising networks — our fonts are served from our own domain.
If that ever changes, we will update this page and reintroduce a consent prompt before any non-essential cookie is set.
Local storage
Like most web apps, TideIQ keeps a small amount of data in your browser's local storage — for example your light/dark theme choice and Clerk's environment marker. None of it is used for tracking, and clearing your browser storage removes it.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Because every cookie we set is required for sign-in, blocking them will keep you from logging in to TideIQ, but the public pages will still work.
